Hacked road sign leads to hilarity… or doom?

An electric roadside in Newfoundland wasn't displaying traffic troubles earlier this week. Instead it warned of something far worse then gridlock: zombies.

The sign in the St. John's area was the latest hacked in a long-running gag amongst pranksters the world over.

The CBC says, that instead of the usual construction delay messages, the sign read "Zombie invasion! Run!, Expect apocalyptic doom! and Rule #2: Double tap!," the latter a line from the 2009 film Zombieland.

Unfortunately, city crews have already turned off and removed the sign.
