Mexican police charge six-year-old who hit SUV

Gael Noriega was the happiest six-year-old in the world (or, at least, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico) when he got a miniature gas-powered motorbike for Christmas.

He was not so happy when police impounded his motorbike after he ran into a SUV December 27, 2011.

Noriega was ticketed for reckless driving, driving without a license and driving an unregistered vehicle after the accident, reports the Associated Press.

Noriega's mother Karla complained when she found out she'd have to pay $183 to retrieve the two-wheeled toy (not pictured above, that's a different one), so city councilors agreed to return the bike, drop the charges and punish the officer for his actions.

Gael's happy to have his bike back, though it no longer works since the collision.
