Funds from "Otis" limo auction go to charity

Last August, rapper Jay-Z and Kanye West shocked the hip hop world with an, um, restyled Maybach 57 limo, which they debuted in their music video "Otis."

With the grille where the decklid was and the decklid where the grille was, the car's aesthetic was basically turned inside-out.

From the start, the duo planned to auction off their modified Maybach to raise money for the Save the Children East African drought disaster fund, figuring the once-$300,000 car would fetch between $100,000 and $150,000, what with its celeb pedigree and all.

According to Jalopnik, the demented Daimler instead netted only $60,000 when it recently crossed the block. Dang.
