Suddenly classic: The cars of 1986

1986 was a hopeful year. The recession that plagued the early part of the decade was coming to an end, but its long-term effects were as yet unknown. The Latin American debt crisis was still to come, as was the U.S. savings and loan catastrophe, but employment rates were improving - slowly. And, so it was a hopeful year. The cars from '86 are officially classics now, being 25 years old, and so we thought it would be a good time to take a look back at that hopeful cohort and see where they are today. (And yes, we're including cars produced in '86, as well as model-year '86 vehicles.)
