A woman in New Jersey is being sued for encouraging distracted driving — because she sent a text to a driver who crashed into a motorcycle.

David and Linda Kubert were riding their motorcycle September 21, 2009 when they were struck by a car from behind. The at-fault driver, Kyle Best, then 19 years old, admits he was looking down at his phone when he swerved.

According to a new survey in the U.S. nearly one-tenth of all Chevrolet Corvette sports cars sold there have been stolen.

The non-profit National Insurance Crime Bureau tallied up all the Corvettes stolen in the U.S. since their debut in 1953 and came up with 134,731 cars.

Crunching the numbers, that means about 8.7 percent of all Corvettes have been stolen at one time or another.

The Sea Lion is, apparently, the world's fastest amphibious vehicle, with a top speed of 200 km/h (125 mph) on land and an incredible 100 km/h (60 mph) on water.
