The Los Angeles Auto Show did feature its fair share of celebrity endorsements, but the cars themselves seemed a little subdued this year, a little austere. No wild concept (well, except from Mercedes) and a ton of very practical cars: frugal engines, minivansm SUVs and diesels dominated the show.

The '60s and '70s marked the hey-day of the muscle car, and the birth of several veritable high-horsepower legends.
