CAW: Ford's Oakville plant to be idled for one week due to parts shortage

About 3,000 people work at the plant just west of Toronto. They make the Ford Edge, the Ford Flex and the Lincoln MKX.
The president of CAW local 707, Gary Beck, says the temporary lull in operatios at the Oakvill plant is mildly concerning but adds that everyone hopes to be back at work soon.
The temporary work suspension comes as the Canadian Auto Workers and Ford are preparing to resume formal contract negotiations on Monday.
