Santa Fe trucks could short circuit, start fire

Hyundai is recalling 13,711 brand new SUVs over a fire risk linked to a possible short circuit.

Hyundai Santa Fe SUVs from model year 2013 are affected.

On some of these vehicles, moisture and salt may enter the rear parking assist sensors in the rear bumper, causing a an electrical short on the sensor circuit board.

This could cause the sensor to overheat, which in turn could start a fire.

Dealers will replace all four parking assist sensors in the Rear Parking Assist System.
