Italian automaker to bring over sports car
Italian marque Alfa Romeo will return to the Canadian market late 2013 with its new 4C sports car.
"For sure it's coming back this year with the 4C. With the Alfa Romeo 4C," Fiat-Chrysler CEO Marchionne said January 18. "We are finalizing the car now, so it should be here this year."
Reuters figures Marchionne may be planning to bring the brand back with the intent of boosting Alfa Romeo's – and parent company Fiat's – flagging sales in Europe.
The Alfa Romeo 4C, which debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, features a two-seat, mid-engined layout; bloggers speculate it'll be powered by Alfa's 1.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder.
