Hoods could fly up on Colorado, Canyon models

General Motors is recalling 15,264 pickup trucks in Canada because a missing hood latch could let the hood fly up into the windshield.

Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon light trucks from model years 2010 through 2012 are affected.

On some of these vehicles, the hood could be missing its secondary hood latch — so if the primary latch isn't locked in place, the hood could open unexpectedly.

If this happens while driving, the hood could fly back and hit the windshield, blocking the view ahead and potentially causing a crash.

Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the hood.
