Facelifted Benz SUV due before 2013

The Mercedes-Benz GLK introduced to the Canadian market three years ago will see a major facelift before 2012 is out.

And even better, Canadians will finally get the diesel option.

Sources at Mercedes-Benz tell Sympatico that the popular SUV will be made available here in Canada with the same BlueTEC 3.0-litre V-6 diesel currently found in the larger M-class a four-cylinder diesel.

The SUV will also get a redesign at the same time (we're talking roughly fall 2012). About 30 percent of GLKs sold overseas are ordered with the diesel option, reports AutomobileMag.
