Airbags may not deploy in half-dozen Legacies, Outbacks

Subaru has issued a recall on Legacies and Outbacks from the 2012 model year because the inflator in the side curtain airbags may be defective.

One or both of the airbags may not deploy in a crash if the inflator has been manufactured improperly.

Dealers will inspect and replace one or both inflators as necessary.

A total of six – yes, six, as in one, two, three, four, five, six – vehicles are affected.
